Kate leaves home

It's been a sad day for Aussie drama Home and Away fans all over Australia. Kate Ritchie, who has played Sally Fletcher since the soap started 20 years ago, has announced her departure from the show at the end of this year.

Kate appeared on channel 7's Sunrise programme this morning, & according to the video clip below, she says that after 20 years it's time to move on.

Kate landed the role of Sally Fletcher at the young age of 9 years old, & to date is one of only 2 original cast members. She will be surely missed.
