Mothers Day

Mothers Day 2007, is just another day on the calendar, or is it a day to celebrate the Mothers in our lives?

We've had an interesting day. this morning at church we had a special Mothers Day treat for all the ladies; not just the mothers, but all the ladies. They all received a red rose wrapped up in a decorated box, then after the service there was a special morning tea. In the afternoon, we went to my sisters house for a family get together. Very simple, but everyone enjoyed themselves, especially the women.

This Mothers Day was very special for us, as we have a new mum to celebrate. Over recent years it has just been my mum & my sister, but now Jo joins the party.

How about you, how do you celebrate Mothers Day? Do make a big deal about it with lots of gifts, or just a simple thank you card with some flowers for your mum. Then poses another question; is Mothers Day being commercialized as with Christmas, or is it actually being kept as a day to celebrate our mothers.
